Free Rehearsal Strategies Class:
SCPA will be offering a FREE class to A and Open class instructors entitled "Effective Rehearsal Strategies: Getting More Done in Less Time".
The class will present proven and research-based strategies for educating middle and high school students, a walk-through of strategies and components of highly-effective rehearsals, top tips from experts in our activity, and an opportunity to ask questions and seek explanations regarding specific challenges we face on a day to day basis.
The class will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. in the Rancho Cucamonga High School Band Room (before the SCPA show that afternoon/evening).
We hope to see you there!

Important notice for all:
In light of some of the questions that we received last night, the SCPA Board would like to ask that all instructors, directors, and parents review the entire contents of the participant handbook. Confrontations and "heat of the moment" situations can be better avoided by making sure that all understand the polices and expectations prior to arrival.
Thank you for working with your students and supporters to ensure that SCPA events remain positive opportunities for student enrichment.

Send-Off Show:
We hope this letter finds everyone doing well and getting excited for another fantastic season of indoor percussion.
We're very excited to announce that, due to the date of Easter for 2010, we're going to be welcoming back the end-of-season SCPA send-off show! This event will take place on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Colony High School in Ontario. We're hoping that it will feature performances by all of our local Dayton-bound ensembles.
We're beginning to organize details about this event and need your help. If your ensemble is planning on participating in the WGI World Championships in Dayton, OH, and would like to participate in the send-off show, we need to know as soon as possible. Please respond in the appropriate thread on the SCPA Instructors / Directors / Boosters Discussion Forum.
